Halloween or Bust

This year's Halloween had to be the most decrepit of all time. We had one trick-or-treater. Count em... ONE. I baked some sugar cookies with orange and black sugar. That was yummy. And for dinner, honestly, it was nothing special. We had Sloppy Chicken Sammies- adorable little 'potato roll' sandwiches, and the sloppy joe stuff was made with ground chicken instead of beef, and served with some (orange) sweet potato fries and (black) root beer. Don't get me wrong; we liked it- it just was not eventful. We watched Evan Almighty and hoped for another trick-or-treater, but at the end of the night, we just had a lot of leftover candy. The highlight of halloween for me was my mom's 'costume.' She came around the corner with a floppy red hat, hunched over a cane and said "Look at my costume!" This costume begged the question, "Who are you?" She proudly said, "Me! 10 years from now!"
... And that, my friends, wins the silliest-cheapest-most morbid (a cane in 10 yrs)-funniest-costume-I think-I-have-ever-seen award.

I saw a funny one on tv yesterday. It was two people dressed as night stands. They called themselves "a couple of one night stands." I love your mother's creative thinking.
