A Few of My Favorite Things
Our first 'cold front' has come (and gone). I'm pretty sure I missed it. Regardless, with a temperature of 66 F when I got in my car this morning, I am excited for things to come. I started secretly listening to Christmas music over a month ago. Now I can listen to it whenever I want... openly. I can hum it, I can sing it out loud in the shower. That song up there (Baby, It's Cold Outside) is one of my favorite songs. (Someday I wanna sing that with someone. That would be cool) Anyway, there's so much to look forward to. One friend of mine says the holidays are the worst time of year for her. I get how that could happen. But for me, it's the happiest time of year. When the temperature drops, it means some good things are coming:
- a trip or two to Knaus Berry Farm - for Sticky buns and Strawberry shakes
- switching my closet, and bringing sweaters and long sleeves to the front
- cold toes (i keep wearing flip flops)
- sugar cookies with red and green sprinkles
- christmas music
- spending more time with family i don't usually see
- a trip somewhere (not sure where yet, but I will be in Atlanta around nov.23 and Virginia around nov.28)
- picking out and trimming our tree
- finding gifts for people, and giving them :)
- watching 'Elf'
- reading the nativity story, and always finding something new there
- less frizzy hair (good-bye, humidity) until february
- sitting in our rockers in front of the house, and looking at the stars (all three of them)
- egg nog
- poinsettas
- the smell of christmas trees, and cinnamon, and sugar cookies, and crisp cool air

I love it...christmas is my favorite time of year. Star gazing in the rockers sounds nice, i want to join in on the fun.
hooray for non-frizzy hair! I totally feel you on that one!
And I'm excited to go to Knauss Berry Farm! :-) I wanna go at the beginning of the season this time, lol.
I am soooo down for the farm and ELF!
