Miss Independent

For the last couple of years, I can't remember having spent this much time away. I am house-sitting, and at the end of the month (between house-sitting, helping, pet-sitting and sleepovers), I will have only spent 2 nights in my bed.

July 1-3: At home, but I gave up my bed for a missionary visiting LAM
July 3-12: House A
July 7: House B
July 8-14: House C
July 13-17:House D
July 17-18:Home sweet home
July 19-30:House C

It's funny to be staying in all these different places. I'll be blogging more about that later. But I've got this little surge of independence, to be sure :) Speaking of which, Independence day was new and different. I swung by home in the morning, and ended up staying all day. I made what was, quite possibly, the sloppiest, most delicious flag cake of all time. Angel food cake with strawberries and blueberries. Yum. That night Lauren and I saw the fireworks at Baptist hospital. So awesome. And then caught up with Kristel and Alex at Starbucks. The funny thing about everywhere I go now is that the windows are always fogged up. In my car, on my eyeglasses, on the gigantic Starbucks windows and doors. See? It's fogged up behind me. Good cooffee, good fun!

I remember the days when I wore glasses and every time I would step outside they would get foggy.
