This morning I order coffee on my way home from church. The lady hands me the cup of black coffee and a bunch of creamer. "Thanks," I tell her, as I walk away. Then I realize I didn't get any sugar. And what good is coffee and creamer without sugar? So I come back and ask for sugar. She looks at me blankly, almost impatiently. "I need sugar." Still nothing. "Sugar. Can I please have sugar?"
The light bulb goes off... "Ah, shOO-gAr! shOO-gAr!"
"Yes, shOO-gAr, please. Thank you."
Apparently I wasn't pronouncing it correctly the first four times. Gotta love it.
