Rants and Raves

Sorry for the (AAAH!!!) moment. I think I'm crazy when I'm like this. Lauren tends to get a kick out of it. I promise to reinhabit my body soon.

• I ordered flowers for my mom for her birthday. Nice. They turned out to be silk flowers. Not so nice. I bought real flowers to go in their vase. Nice. The vase didn’t hold the water, and leaked all night, ruining the finish on my great-grandmother’s piano. Not so nice. I am still dealing with their customer service. They seem to be at a loss as to how to make this better…
• All biases aside, I tried to figure out what it is about Hillary Clinton that I don’t like. Then, today, in a flash it came to me! I… can’t… stand… her CACKLE! It’s disturbing, to be honest. (I know, so petty.)
• A lot of people at work are sick. It’s pretty bizarre. I wonder who’s next (probably me). And I can’t fight the urge to hum “Another One Bites the Dust” in my cubicle. (Don’t worry – no one is actually ‘biting the dust.’)
• My great-great aunt (aka 90 Years Old!) is visiting us from Georgia. She’s a trip. She loves to fly. She can cook better than most people I’ve met. She gets bored after 30 seconds of idleness – the woman cannot sit still. She’s been working on some masterpiece puzzles during her time here. How is it that I can barely finish a 60 piece puzzle without her help?
• I had lunch at Bucca di Beppo. The food was amazing; it was such a treat. But we thought we would have to move in, the service was so slow. And the cheesy picture I took after features food stuck between my teeth. Bahumbug!
• I am living in a house with no phone line, no cable, and no internet connection. Thus, the lack of recent posts. TV tomorrow, internet hopefully next week, and honestly, I haven’t missed the phone line at all. Who needs one when you have a cell phone?? (We’ll see what affect that has in 50 years, eh?)
