We took a train ride on the Durango-Silverton Narrow Guage Railroad. Wow. What a neat thing to do, and it was beautiful. Here are some pics:

All aboard!

A stop for lunch by the Animas River
It started at 10 am, and we got back to town at 3 pm. At 3 we were planning to go on to Mesa Verde National Park and see the ruins there. It was highly recommended by everyone. We were all looking forward to it. But around 2:30, when I finally had some phone reception, I got a call. I had a problem... I needed to put out some fires back home. And I needed internet access to work on it for hours. So, instead of going to Mesa Verde National Park, I sat at a coffee shop with wi-fi while my family went shopping and to an early dinner. We finally left Durango at 6:30, right when Mesa Verde National Park was closing.
Add to that what has truly bummed me out: I somehow, amazingly, devastatingly, demon-possessed-ly, mysteriously deleted Sunday's pics off my computer (of Rocky Mountain National Park). They were great pictures. I cried... it's very sad. What a train wreck. And you know how when one or two things go wrong, you just think about everything going wrong in life? (Or maybe you're not melodramatic like me). Well, I covet your prayers. I hate screwing up- be it at work, or school, or play. And I would love to play tomorrow. We are going to Arches National Park. If anyone happens to be a tech-wizard, and can make pictures reappear that once were on my computer, I would consider it manna from heaven. I suppose I will have to settle for the blessing of having seen such beauty with my own eyes. And when all's said and done, that is quite a blessing...
