Today was one of the hardest days in a long time... I've been to around 20 funerals in my life, (no exaggeration) and usually I'm okay. Really, just totally okay at elderly homes, hospitals, funerals, you name it. But today my heart broke for one of the most wonderful friends I've ever had in my life. She lost the man she loved, and he was only 23. His name was Ken...
I don't really know how to make sense of this loss for her, I only know that this isn't how things are supposed to go. The funeral was in Port St. Lucie, so I drove through 4 counties this afternoon, and then turned around and came right back. There were hundreds, really hundreds of people at the funeral and 80% of them were under 25. So sad... so unreal. Thanks to all of you that are praying for Leyla.
