Cinco de Mayo and South Beach

I have mixed feelings about this post; in fact, I'm not wild about the whole situation. I have abandoned my carb-filled ways and have migrated to South Beach. South Beach Diet, that is. I'm not a big fan.

Still, I thank my lucky stars that I cook, so I don't feel abandoned to die during this diet. Just... craving carbs like there's no tomorrow. Last night I was snacking on a Sugar-Free (flavor-free) Creamsicle, when I told my mom I wished I could wrap it in carbs. Even if that meant sticking the popsicle in a hot dog bun, I was pretty sure it would taste much better.

Yeah... it's that bad.
Here's how I "celebrated" Cinco de Mayo:

Taco meat with black beans and salsa on the left; Spice-rubbed chicken tenders with cilantro dipping sauce on the right. It was pretty great. It would've been insane with some arroz or tortillas!

Just 13 days left until you can eat some more food. You're going to be alright....stick it through.

stick with it. it's one of those diets that if you actually do correctly shift into being a lifestyle. a lifestyle w/o carbs. good luck.

I'm not on a south beach diet, but i feel your pain, I'm on a healthy diet. No more tacos, pizza and sweets for me, only once in awhile I'm allowed to have. So don't worry your not alone.
