Sure, I saw the Hollywood sign.
But I don't think you wanna hear the normal stuff, and I don't really feel like talking about it. It's just so... overdone. Instead, here are some interesting things I saw during my time in L.A.
#1: Fountain head at the Library downtown. I know it's art, but man, I just didn't get it.
#2: 3-story Wal-Mart (not enough room to fit it on one floor). You may ask yourself, how do they get the shopping carts up and down when people get on the escalator? Solution:
#3: Mammoth excavation site (which just happens to be in the center of Biola University's campus. Suuure....)
#4: The line at Pink's hot dogs. I get that they're world famous, unbelievably good, and in L.A. since the 30's... but the line for these guys is at least 2 hours long. We tried twice to get them, and just couldn't want them bad enough to wait that long.
#5: Apparently it is not just the females that must be cosmetically enhanced. Even shrubs are not quite 'up-to-par'. I couldn't believe they put up this little ivy-paper wall, you know, because fake just looks better.
#6: After some walking in Chinatown, I decided to look a little closer at the signs and labels. Man, there are some good laughs to be had there! Take, for example, this slightly perishable sauce, with a "Who-knows-when-but-here's-our-best-guess-
so-we-can-get-it-past-customs" expiration date:
That is all for now. I have to get up in four hours to make it to Chicago.

that shopping cart escalator is the coolest thing I've EVER seen!
i have to agree. the shopping cart thing is killer. i wonder if you can leave your kid in it while its going down the escalator. that might be a bad idea, but it looks cool
