Last night, Zeal turned one. And I made the birthday cake. It was a red velvet cake, but it was vanilla based, instead of chocolate based, with just a little cocoa thrown in. I call it my 'rock star' cake... because it's not perfect, but I think it looks cool.
I brought it to church to shape and decorate it 'on site' :D THANKS to Janell for helping with the finishing touches!!!

well...you're on a bloggin' rampage! I enjoy this. :-)
Anyway, that cake was delish! Thanks for making it.
People laughed when I requested red velvet cake, but I knew you could make it happen.
it was good!!! i hate trying new things, and (honestly) the only reason i try it is cause everytime i look at your blog it looks like an advertisement for all the awesome foods on those tv shows. so i figured it'd be pretty good.
i was quite satisfied:)
