I <3 Colorado!

Seriously, this place rocks...
haha. get it? :)
So pros and cons, I will just throw out there that it is like record heat out here... 80+degrees!!! Why did I pack a jacket? Why didn't I pack more tees? I'm not sure what to make of this, but I got a little sunburn today. What's that you say, Miami girl? A sun burn?!?! Yes, indeed. I got a sunburn, on my shoulders.

Maybe it was the high altitude (over 8000 feet in Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park)...

Maybe it was riding in the Jeep...

Maybe it was Lucile's, the most amazing breakfast place ever, where we ate outside...

Whatever the reason, it was TOTALLY worth it. That breakfast place, aka little house with BIG breakfast, is amazing. Those are beignets we're eating, a french style donut. Square-shaped and really poofy...

The ride to Rocky Mountain national park takes you through a canon, and a town called Stout, who claims that their population is... drum roll, please... 47 1/2. (I'm still trying to figure out who was only considered half a person. A fetus? A tourist? A mailman? The village idiot? Your guess is as good as mine.) And then RoMo Park is purdy (though I still can't get over how hot it was). We saw 2 elk and about 200 Coloradoans (is that what they're called?) Apparently when it is hot, they all feel the need to be outside all day. They should come to Miami, that would wear off quick. I'll give them credit though, it was a beautiful day.

A couple more tidbits before I pass out...
-We went to Estes Park Brewery for lunch. My dad ordered a buffalo burger, and insisted I try it. Egh... glorified dog food, which my cousin Tara hypes up as 'extra lean beef'. Riiight. You don't wanna see the 'after' picture of me eating it.

And this is SNOW! hooray :O It was kinda dirty, but hey, snow is snow. And I was one happy camper.

Peace out! Tomorrow we're off to Durango, CO!!! And then it's off to MOAB!! Can't wait.
