My first semester of grad school is over. It was exhausting, I can translate (some) NT Greek, tell you where just about any passage is in the gospels (well, I am only really good at Matthew), and outline any passage in the Bible for a sermon (with some success). So... I'm no scholar, but I am learning a few things.
Let's face it: seminary couldn't really change me that much. I think some people were afraid it would (and other people were hoping it would). After I finished my last exam, which was translating and parsing Greek, I was walking on air. Part of that is probably due to the fact that since Saturday night (my last whole night of sleep), I had gotten a total of 10 hours of sleep. Today's Wednesday. That's four days. Ten hours. In 30-min or 2-hr increments. I was narcoleptic. Needless to say, when this was finally over, I was just. so. happy. I called a friend, and talked her into celebrating with me. I just needed to get my car and pick her up. I could barely contain myself walking off campus. I got to my car, opened the backseat door, threw in my books and sweater, and then got in the front seat. As soon as I closed the door, I screamed. Screamed with all the joy, frustration, exhaustion, and accomplishment that I felt. "AAAAAAAAAAAHHHH! I'M SO HAPPYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!" Seriously, friends, it was loud. I heard someone walk by. That was weird, since my door was closed and my car is made of steel, not tissue paper. One problem. I only closed my door - not the backseat door. I looked around, and there were three guys (from my class) talking in the parking lot. Well, laughing now, since I just made an idiot of myself. If you know me, you know this is something I regularly do...
I could only laugh, and think of the Cone of Silence from Get Smart.
This is almost exactly how it happened.
Enjoy laughing at my expense. It's 54 seconds in...

I didn't type my other comment right. Gosh - you might think I just took a bunch of exams the way I can't write! Haha.
Anywho... I laughed out loud reading this, even though I already heard the story AND heard you do an impression of yourself. And then seeing the movie... I pretty much lost it. Yep, I'm ready for vacation.
Oh, and there's one more thing left for me to say: Cone of silence much? ;)
you are a funny dork!
Ha ha ha ha! That's hilarious! I'm happy for you and proud of you <3 You're my inspiration - dorky outbursts and all!
